Coming Clean

Hi. My name is Sandra and I write a blog.  I've been writing a blog for almost 2 1/2 years and I love it. I love the creative outlet and the great writers and friends that I've met because of the blogosphere.

I didn't tell most of the people in my life about Blog Chocolate (or Sunshine Scribe before that) because I wanted to write freely. I wanted to write without being judged. I wanted to have a space just for me. 

How naive. 

This is the internet. The i-n-t-e-r-n-e-t.

I accidentally shared my url with a whole lot of folks that might be offended because I didn't tell them about this side of me sooner.  I'm sorry that I kept it a secret but I am not sorry for writing.

I've scrubbed clean my archives and, unfortunately, put some of my very best stuff into draft form.  I guess some things just belong in the back corner of that drawer, tucked carefully in a sacred place for one set of eyes alone. 

But Blog Chocolate is back online with a new set of unexpected readers who I hope will understand what I do here. Because, whether intentional or not, it's time you knew.

Will it change how I write and what I write about? Maybe. Hopefully for the better.  My blogging is not a secret any more and what could be more freeing than that.

Just in time too ... because how could I go to this without a blog?!?
