Life's hard ... chocolate helps.
This is a blog about chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate.
Alyssa and Sandra are certifiable chocoholics and thrilled to host THE chocolate destination on the internet. At Blog Chocolate we'll ponder all things chocolate. Sometimes we'll offer sweet product reviews. If they are unsolicited we'll let you know. If they are not, we'll let you know that too - because who could pass up free chocolate? Seriously.
We spell like Canadians but our chocolate tastes extend far beyond our border.
Meet Alyssa:
Alyssa has had a lifelong obsession with chocolate. As a baby, she railed against the fact that there was no chocolate-flavoured Pablum. As a child, she continuously wondered why there was no fifth food group: Chocolate and other Sugared Treats. As a young adult, she disdained any dessert that didn't contain chocolate. Now, as a mom, she has to hide her chocolate from her kids because they keep expecting her to share. Somewhere in the late 1990's she realized that she would actually have to, um,exercise or something to manage her growing...addiction. So she started running. Sadly, she realized that she would have to run upwards of 60kms (37ish miles) a week in order to offset the amount of chocolate consumed. Since that hasn't quite happened yet, she decided instead to get a little more selective. Alyssa is Judgy McJudgerson when it comes to picking the best chocolate out there. And if something doesn't make the cut, she's not shy about voicing her opinion. But everyone knows you have to eat a LOT of chocolate in order the separate the wheat from the chaff. Bring it.
If Sandra could take just one thing to a desserted island (yes desserted not deserted) it would be chocolate. When she's not busy championing good causes at her day job and filling soccer mom duties, she can be found unabashedly eating her body weight in chocolate .... or writing about it. Sandra's affair with chocolate is deeply passionate and totally committed. She abhors waste and believes chocolate should be tasted with unbridled enthusiasm and every morsel savoured. She chooses hot chocolate over coffee, is not ashamed to steal chocolate from her own child and thinks chocolate cake for breakfast is a sound choice. Sandra is a martyr. A chocolate martyr and is willing to make the noblest of sacrifices by trying every last chocolate on the planet until she finds the very best one. That's a promise.
